The search for the perfect fall book

Some fun at the bookstore! (hehe..:)
First, yummy lunch while Mommy enjoys a Pumpkin Spice Latte:)

Then, we headed to the stage. Which was SO MUCH FUN to climb on!

Bubba loved reading this musical Thomas the train book.
We chose our favorite fall book..."Duck & Goose Find a Pumpkin."
Cutest. Thing. Ever.
Right???? Right. Yay, fall!

A Colorful World

Adventures in Coloring! With Mommy and Bubba!
This is the first time we successfully attempted coloring! (We've done it once before, but the concept of putting writing utensil to paper wasn't there).
Besides having to force him to stay in one spot and only color on the paper, little Boy knew exactly what to do with his adorable little markers!
He wanted to crawl all over the apartment with the open markers and suck on them (obviously), so this endeavor came with much frustration on Bubba's part.
He got one good taste of green.
The end result was adorable!
We also decorated for fall with our new window markers<3

Yay, fall!

Kind-of, sort-of....Florida's version of FALL!!!

So yesterday when I walked outside that deliciously crisp scent of fall was in the air. And guess what??!! It was slightly less suffocatingly hot and humid that day! I thought it must be a fluke, but today was the same! What this means for Florida peeps: Sort-of Fall is here. Only in the sense that, semi-not-hot days will start sporadically appearing from now until almost Christmas. Yay, fall!!! You gotta take 'em when you get 'em, right?

Isn't this a beautiful Florida Autumn scene? Not.

Absolutely cannot wait to embark on new seasons of my amazing, wonderful, beautiful, super-fun fave fall series!

I think I may have a fall TV addiction...

Episode 1 of "Places Better Left Undiscovered"...

Bubba boy is so tempted by every new nook and cranny of our place that he hasn't been allowed to explore, that whenever he hears the washer or dryer open he dashes towards the scene

He immediately jumped into my laundry basket of clean, dry towels to discover new textures.

But then decided the pretty shiny lights inside deserved a good inspection.

So, his royal cuteness loved this new exciting play area!
Disclaimer: When I am not present there's no way for Bubba to get into this room! And above is as far as he actually got into the dryer. I do not allow him to play in the dryer by himself as a regular pastime;)

Post-bath time cuties

Like this towel-wrapping strategy? Bubba and Daddy had lots of silly fun after bath time. Looks like baby just walked out of a sauna with a couple of fat, old-guy friends talking about the economy and politics.

Injury update...

Baby's finger: perfectly fine.
My toe...broken.

On a stupid baby gate???!!! Yes, it can happen. Sheesh, this is embarrassing. Now I'll have this ugly, sore, purple thing wrapped up with tape for a month or more. Yay, me!

Hideously annoying injuries!

So in the span of one day, I closed my one-year-old's finger in our bathroom door, and stubbed my toe on our wooden baby gate.

Both of these injuries are incredibly annoying (there's not a cool story behind them), yet surprisingly painful (much crying and ice-pack holding occurred).

Closing Bubba's finger in the door was, of course, more traumatizing for me than him. As soon as I did it I freaked out but definitely went into action mode. After the creepy blue, squished swelling went down (after a good 20+ minutes of forcing an ice pack onto a very uncooperative baby), I could tell Bubba's little pinky wasn't broken and therefore the worst was behind us.

As for my toe, which was brutally attacked by the baby gate just a mere two hours status-yet-to-be-determined. There are no odd colors, lumpiness or crazy swelling happening....but I can do longer put my full weight on my stinkin' foot!

Why, oh, why can such silly injuries be so debilitating??? Tell me your silliest injuries, or just giggle at mine. Either way, leave some love<3

why I'm starting my own blog!

After my Bubba was born last September, I slowly discovered that there are TONS of moms on YouTube and blog sites chatting it up and discussing their lives from the day-to-day SAHM stuff to fashion and beauty. These moms inspire me!
At the time I was having a difficult go at the stay-at-home-mommy lifestyle. Having always worked part time and been a full-time student, I was not used to the new pace of things! Taking care of a newborn was waayyy harder than I ever imagined. I didn't fall into a good groove of things until my Bubba was almost a year! Which was just this month:-O That was just my pace.... slow and steady. A lot of women take on the new role as mommy quickly and seamlessly, and that just wasn't me.
Mooooving on! I realized these other mommies love their lives, even though things are much, much different for them now that they are parents. They make lemonade out of their lemons, and make jokes out of the silliness that ensues! "Why can't I be like that?", I thought.
Well, this is me finally stepping up and deciding to be like that! I'm (finally) embracing my new life as a mommy and I'm loving it!

Similar stories?? I want to hear them! I want to also shout out to two mommies who have made my life grand! Marie and Louise!!!! Please check out their blogs! And if Louise and Marie are reading this now, You have helped make me a happier person!:)

Want this for my Bubba! It's the Pottery Barn Kids Anywhere Chair. I need a place to corral him into a seated position. This one looks soft and snuggly. Opinions?:)

well, I pretty much love my life:) I'm 23, have been married to my BEST FRIEND for just over 2 years now, and have a just-turned-one-year-old bubba boy. But these things are not why I LOVE MY LIFE! I am ecstatic that I am at a point in my life where I feel like I have accepted my place in the world and feel truly content. That doesn't mean things are perfect! By no means. But I can accept what hits me, and that makes me truly happy. I am discovering what living really means. Anyone else out there who can relate? I want to hear about your life!

I have never really used this blog, truly. But I intend to start now! I want to write about daily happenings and  big life changes, and I want to meet people along the way! Hit me up with your comments, and I would love to subscribe to your blogs!
