So the most interesting thing about me right now is that I am in my ninth month of baking my little bun who will be called my little Bubba, when I'm online. He's my first baby and my husband and I couldn't be more excited. I am in a constant state of anticipation these days! I have been having constant, yet mild, contractions for six days now. They are getting stronger but regular in the least bit. My doctor told my husband and I she might try inducing at my next appointment by separating the membranes (basically, running a finger between the bag of water and uterus, near cervix).
I will be 38 weeks and 3 days at said appointment, and of course I'm a little weary of inducing for a non-medical reason before 39 weeks so I don't know what we are actually going to have the doctor do. She acted like she wants to induce soon because of my contractions without actual progression combined with the fact that little Bubba is taking up so much room in my belly that even when I lie on my back he is touching my ribs. Who knows why doctors make the decisions they do these days, but we plan to find out at the next appointment either way if this induction is really that necessary.
In the end, I am just so excited and feel so blessed that my husband and I will be meeting our baby so soon-- regardless of exactly how and when he gets here.
